Although some coaches and fitness experts preach a one-size-fits-all philosophy towards training, the truth is everyone improves at their own rate. Your current skill and fitness levels determine your training program. You could be using the wrong training program right now, failing to maximize your athletic potential.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;What can I do?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;First, find out your current fitness level, both strength and cardiovascular. You can get a rough estimate with a one minute push-up test (strength) and a 1.5 mile run (cardio). From those results you can begin to construct your workout routine. Take the above test scores, or any test score you choose and evaluate your status.
